De Montfort University
Degree Show Identity
De Montfort University approached us to work alongside their student committee to create and direct a visual identity for their 2015 Graphic Design & Illustration Degree Show. The students came to us with several concepts in place which were strengthened and refined through group meetings, to produce a cohesive identity. The students had come to the end of their studies, showcasing their hard work before making their way into the world; a process which informed the name of the event. To showcase the work to its full potential, we created a suite of promotional materials that could be handed to prospective employers at the 2015 DMU degree show and sent out to agencies at a later date. This consisted of a 132 page brochure featuring a die-cut cover, neon posters using reverse printing to highlight each area of the course (design and illustration), A5 flyers, and hand crafted way-finding boards. The end result saw a degree show carried out to the high standard demanded by industry professionals, representing the course, students and university in the best light possible.
Students were involved right from the start, contributing ideas right through to helping us produce wayfinding and silk screen posters.
2015 was the first year that the DMU Graphic Design & Illustration department worked with an external agency on their degree show materials.
